Add enough milk to drizzle on cake.

123 Butter Cake
3 cups sugar
3 sticks butter
Whip for 3 minutes
Add 5 eggs, 1at a time, beating after each one. 3 cups all purpose flour sifted., 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp soda ( whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl
1 cup buttermilk ( 1 cup reg. Milk 2 tablespoons vinegar)
Add buttermilk alternately with flour stirring after each addition. At this point if it's really too thick I add just a little bit more sweet milk. 2 teaspoons vanilla / or lemon or other flavors /
Bake @ 375° for 1 hour. Check with toothpick for doneness.
